The World's Largest Wind Turbine

This is the Enercon E-126, the first wind turbine with 6 MW rated power, rotor diameter: 126m (413ft), hub height: 135m(450ft). Two of these giant wind power units have been built for testing at an onshore location, Rysumer Nacken, near Emden, in the northwest of Germany.
Here each WPU is expected to produce about 18 Mio kWh per year, enough for more than 4,500 homes.

Maryhill Museum of Art: Makes $$ from Wind Power.

Since the 1970's people knew that wind power could be utilized at the Maryhill Museum of Art. But it wasn't until recently that big wind power companies took notice. There for now the museum has a promising lease from the Cannon Power Group. For about 2 million USD for the wind farm leasing. Making the Maryhill Museum of Art the first in the USA to make money from wind power. A definite step forward in green energy in the USA. The wind farm is said to power about 250,000 households annually. Covering 26 contiguous miles around the museum.The Cannon Power Group plans to create one of the country’s biggest wind farms next year. Source: ecoseed.org
