There are many carbon footprint calculators available on th web which can help you figure out quite easily the amount of emission you make for household purposes, for business purposes and also as an individual.

To get started all you have to do is type the number of memebers in your home and then answer questions related to household energy usage, vehicle usage, food, recycling etc.
once all information has been put, the system generates your carbon footprint and also your household.
Once the results are out, you can easily figure out whether you have succesfully curbed your emission rates, or you still need to do a thing or two to be a smart environmental friendly home maker.

*clapping hands* was really looking forward to this post.
With the US average household sitting at a disgusting 110 tons of CO2 per year; and the world average at 22 tons; I am feeling pretty good that our household only put out 15 tons this year (and that was with three interstate flights included too)... so, not to shabby an effort.
Lets hope more take up the initiative.
